This past Friday we posted a video of our interview with Chu Suwannapha, the man behind Chulaap, one of our favourite local labels. And today, the “Prince of prints” and global shoe brand Superga just somer up and blessed us with an awesome collaboration, which saw Chu create three prints across three Superga styles. If you’re not familiar – highly unlikely – with Chu’s work, then I envy you skat, because you get to see it for the first time; quickly click here before you read on.
Thai-born Chu has lived in South Africa for the last 15 years and his work is inspired by this continent, SA streetstyle, and the country of his birth. He is the first South African designer to be asked to collaborate with Superga. The collection will be available locally from R950-R1500 at Superga concept stores, as well as for purchase by international partners both in standalone stores & online. Congrats Chu! Well fucking done skattebol!
