Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Kai Havertz has the qualities to be a 20-goal season player. Havertz’s goals
against Leicester and Paris Saint-Germain over the past week mean he has now scored in each of his last six games at the Emirates Stadium. He scored
nine goals in his final 14 league games last season after finding the right role for himself and Arteta believes the German has the quality to hit the 20-goal mark for a season.
Asked why Havertz has been so consistent, Arteta said: “First of all because he’s so good, because he wants to score goals and because he’s got great players around him. “And then the
difficult times he’s gone through have made him an even better player and a better person as well. “He’s
got all the qualities, for sure and he’s got the ambition [to score 20 goals a season]. At the end of the day, scoring goals is about the little details and things have to go your way. “
But he has those things and his mindset has changed a lot about that. In my opinion, he has the skills to do that.”
The 25-year-old has made nine appearances for the Gunners this season, scoring five goals.
The absence of Martin Odegaard has meant a change in formation, with Havertz partnering Leandro Trossard in attack.
“We have to play differently. The impact that Martin has on everything we do is too big for any other player to try to replicate. We tried to play in a different way, to change things, to use the qualities of the players, the players in the right positions, to connect with the players around him. ทางเข้า ufabet “It took maybe one
or two games but then the flow started to improve and we found the solution. “
We put players in positions and roles where they feel they can use their strengths, and tried to cover our weaknesses as much as possible. “
Without Martin we have some things we can’t do, but we have dangers in other positions that we have to bring out as much as possible.”
